India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd (IBJA) shall be conducting its annual event India International Bullion Summit – 7 (IIBS-7) on 12th March, 2022, at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai. last year IBJA completed its 102nd year and now we are moving on to new century. IBJA as usual has always been responsible association and has always played key role in protecting not only interest of Bullion dealers and jewellers but also of consumers.
However, there is little set back this year as no foreign delegates shall be joining is for the event due to coronavirus. IBJA has successfully got notification of mandatory hallmarking and India Good Delivery from the government. The budget 2020 also announced international bullion exchange, refinery and testing laboratory in GIFT City as desired by IBJA.
The entire focus of this year IIBS shall be on topics which are relevant and related to such announcement. This year’s topic includes how international bullion exchanges, refinery and testing laboratory in GIFT city will help gem and jewellery sector, Change management- transition to the new generation in gamily business, gold price outlook for financial year 2021-22, does gold as an investment affects gold jewellery business, compliance through code of conduct, mandatory hallmarking – truths and half truths.
It is essential that we focus mainly to various states in our country and see whether code of conduct for the business can be implemented and monitor.
